The Transparency Board published the results of a study about citizen perception regarding to the Transparency Law and access to Public Information. The survey concluded that 91% of Chileans believe that politicians are not capable to solve problems.

On the other hand, 5% of Chileans believe that politicians have the ability to solve problems. Similar rates are also register in other issues like authorities, judges and parliament members.

In regards to corruption , 57% of citizens consider that public institutions are dishonest, while only 15% believe that they are not.

Additionaly, 54% of Chileans consider that there are many people involved in corruption cases and 84% believe that people linked to these crimes are not judicially punished.

However, the positive conclusion is that 51% of compatriots believe that now, the detection of corruption cases is easier.
