El ex campeón olímpico estadounidense Bruce Jenner vivió este lunes el momento que estuvo esperando por mucho tiempo: se presentó al mundo como mujer.
“Tras una larga lucha, estoy muy feliz de estar viviendo mi verdadera identidad. Bienvenida al mundo Caitlyn. Me muero de ganas de que la/me conozcáis”, escribió en su recién estrenada cuenta de Twitter.
La primera imagen de Caitlyn Jenner fue revelada casi al mismo tiempo por la revista Vanity Fair, que colgó en las redes sociales la portada de su próximo número con el título “Call me Caitlyn” (Llámenme Caitlyn).
En la imagen –obra de la fotógrafa Annie Leibovitz–, Jenner aparece muy coqueta luciendo un simple corsé blanco que marca sus nuevas curvas de mujer, acentuadas por su larga y ondulada melena.
Su rostro también muestra sus nuevas facciones femeninas, después de haberse sometido esta primavera boreal a una cirugía plástica para eliminar los rasgos masculinos.

Su “nacimiento” se convirtió enseguida en “trending topic” mundial con más de 88.000 tuits en una hora con la etiqueta #CallMeCaitlyn (Llámenme Caitlyn).
Fueron en esas mismas plataformas donde varios famosos reaccionaron a la imagen. Inclusos su propia familia se refirió en Twitter al tema.
“¡Que hermosa! ¡Sé feliz, orgullosa, vive la vida a tu manera!”, escribió Kim Kardashian, mientras que su hermana Khloé, agregó:“¡Nos dieron esta vida porque eres lo suficientemente fuerte para vivirla! ¡No podría estar más orgullosa! ¡Claitlyn, eres hermosa!”.
“Sé libre lindo pajarito”, escribió en Twitter, su hija Kendall, mientras que Kylie Jenner usó Instagram para compartir la foto de padre con el mensaje “Mi ángel en la tierra”.
