The Government met this Friday with the Chiefs of Carabineros and the Police of Investigation (PDI) to require explanations about the worsening of the violence at the southern of the country.

The general director of Carabineros, Bruno Villalobos, faced the criticisms related to the Intelligence Police, who is investigating the incendiary attacks.

“The Intelligence team is fulfilling an important function at the zone, with the resources we have. We are awaiting for a modification to the Law of Intelligence, which is going to help us to have additional resources, to investigate in the best manner possible”, Villalobos claimed.

In addition, the Chief of Carabineros argued that “United States, was not able to forecast the attack against the twin towers, thus, is not fair to require to the Intelligence people, have the 100% of the information”.

At the same time, Villalobos, has recognized they do not have the enough police forces to face the violence acts.
