On Sunday evening, the leader of the employees from the Civil Aeronautics Direction (DGAC), José Pérez, confirmed the end of the 4 days of strike that paralyzed the airports of the country.

The Government presented during Sunday a proposal to the employees, which was evaluated and accepted by them. Thus, the strike is over and Pérez explained through a conversation with CNN Chile, that the normalization process is going to be gradual and will depend on the circumstances of each airport.

The decision was confirmed by the Defense Minister, José Antonio Gómez, who assured the immediate resume of the labors on terminals.

However, the airlines have warned that the relocation could take “some days”, as LAN said hours before of the ending of the mobilization.
