The president Michelle Bachelet announced the members of the Observation Citizen Council for the first stage of the Constitutional process, which is going to be leaded by Patricio Zapata, constitutional lawyer of the Pontifical Catholic University and member of the Christian Democracy (DC) party.
The Citizen Council will be also made up by Benito Baranda Ferrán, Jean Beausejour Coliqueo, Roberto Fantuzzi Hernández, José Miguel García, Hernán Larraín Matte, Gastón Gómez, Juanita Parra, Héctor Mery, Ruth Olate, Salvador Millaleo, Lucas Sierra Iribarren, Francisco Soto Barrientos, Cecilia Rovaretti and Patricio Fernández.
The president pointed out that the elected members for the Citizen Council represent the diversity of opinions in our country. In addition, Bachelet expressed that with the establishment of the Council they expect to make clear the Constitutional process and inform properly to the citizenship.
