Evo Morales assured wanting to sue Chile for the treaty of 1904

The president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, assured that his original intention was sue Chile due to the Treaty of Peace and Friendship of 1904. Idea that later was forgotten thanks to the advices of the juridical team of the Altiplanic country.

The Bolivian president revealed the information during an interview with the “Compañera” radio station, telling that his idea was to find shelter on the verdict resulting from the agreement between United States and Panama.

Morales stated in the interview that “the Treaty of 1904 was imposed, unfair and breached by Chile”.

In the same way, Morales denied talking about his real objective regarding to the demand submitted by Bolivia against Chile two years ago.
