After a week of strike, Public workers from Aysen had a meeting between the unions and the first regional authority, Ximena Ordenes.

The unions of public workers marched through the streets of Coyhaique up to the Regional Government to hold a meeting with the authorities waiting for an answer to their requests, referred to the visit to the region of the Finance Minister Alberto Arenas, and Internal Affairs Minister, Rodrigo Peñailillo.

After the meeting, Yessica Almonacid, from the Public Sector, added: “it was not what we expected, there is nothing clearly defined so far, there is the government’s willingness to talk, but that is not what we are asking. We really want the presence of the Minister of Finance here in the region.”
