The Argentinian, Sebastián Beccacece, decided to begin his career as a coach and notified the National coach, Jorge Sampaoli, of his decision in order to abandon La Roja staff in the short term.

The date has been set as November 17th, 2015, after the classificatory match between Chile and Uruguay for the Russia 2018 World Cup.

A close contact of Beccacece told El Mercurio that “Sebastián is a very ambitious guy, professionally-speaking. With this staff he has achieved important things and the necessary experience to take the step”.

As a result, the man who has been working for 13 years as Sampaoli’s assistant believes that he has reached the necessary maturity to gain independence and manage a professional team.

In 2013, the 34-year-old professional was tempted to manage Universidad de Chile after Dario Franco’s release. Currently, the mentioned football team is again on the horizon awaiting for someone to be responsible for it on 2016, due to its current irregularities under the Martín Lasarte management.

Baccecece worked with the present La Roja DT on Sport Boys, Coronel Bolognesi, Sporting Cristal, O’Higgins, Emelec, Universidad de Chile and the recent champion of La Copa América.
