En el marco de la celebración de los 30 años del “Black Album” de Metallica, la banda anunció la publicación de un disco tributo donde diversos artistas reversionarán las canciones de la emblemática placa.
Una de las artistas convocadas fue la chilena Mon Laferte, quien se hará cargo de un cover en español de una de las pistas más populares del cuarteto, “Nothing Else Matters”.
Royal Blood, Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode), J Balvin, St. Vincent, Ha*Ash, IDLES, Phoebe Bridgers, Weezer, Kamasi Washington, Miley Cyrus, Mac DeMarco, Ghost, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Volbeat y Juanes, entre otros, también darán forma a “The Metallica Blacklist”, que saldrá a la venta el próximo 10 de septiembre.
El primer single del disco estuvo a cargo de Miley Cyrus para, justamente, una reversión de “Nothing Else Matters”, donde tuvo la colaboración de Watt, Elton John, Yo-Yo Ma, Robert Trujillo y Chad Smith.
El homenaje también esconde un fin benéfico: las ganancias serán donadas a All Within My Hands Foundation y más de 50 organizaciones elegidas por los propios artistas convocados.
“The Black Álbum”, a su vez, será remasterizado en LP de Vinilo de 180 grs., CD Estándar, Edición Expandida de 3 CDs, formato Digital y en una Caja Deluxe de Edición Limitada que contendrá 2 LPs de 180 grs, un disco con imágenes, 3 LPs en directo y 14 CDs con pre-mezclas, maquetas, entrevistas y shows en directo.
También serán incluidos en la versión Deluxe 6 DVDs con descartes, imágenes del “making of” del disco, clips oficiales y videos de conciertos, además de un libro en tapa dura de 120 páginas, 4 tickets de gira laminados, tres litografías, tres uñetas de guitarra, un colgante, un cancionero y una tarjeta de descarga.
