The Ministry of Public Works (MOP), confirmed the company who is going to finish the building of the Cau Cau bridge in Valdivia.

VMB Chile with Hardesty & Hanover from United States, will be the holding company responsible to remake the first drawbridge of the country.

The information was provided by the project chief, Fernando Ramirez, at the sixth informative meeting regarding to the project advances.

The contract cost will be of $888 million pesos for a term of 18 months.

In regard of the deadline, the ministry confirmed the handover of the bridge at July of 2017, for public use. In addition he said that the resources are guaranteed by the budgetary law, after the Comptroller acknowledged an emergency decree to finance the repair.
