Óscar anuncia preseleccionados en 10 categorías: cinta local queda fuera pero corto sigue en carrera

La Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas anunció este martes las listas de preseleccionados en 10 categorías para la edición número 94 de los premios Óscar.

Entre ellas están largometraje documental, cortometraje documental, largometraje internacional, maquillaje y peluquería, música (partitura original), música (canción original), cortometraje animado. Cine, Cortometraje Live Action, Efectos de sonido y visuales.

La cinta Blanco en blanco, que representaba a Chile en la carrera por los premios Óscar, quedó fuera de este primer corte. No obstante, la cinta llamada Spencer, dirigida por Pablo Larraín, entró en la preselección, específicamente en la categoría de Mejor música original.

El que sí sigue en competencia es Bestia, producción que postula en la categoría Mejor Cortometraje Animado. El filme nacional a cargo del director Hugo Covarrubias (“La noche boca arriba”), ha tenido un gran éxito entre la crítica.

Entre los favoritos de la preselección se encuentran Dune con siete opciones para entrar en estas categorías y No Time To Die con seis.

Los nominados definitivos se darán a conocer el próximo 8 de febrero.
