Alejandro Werner, director of the occidental hemisphere from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), pointed out that from the organization are worried due to the situation of some state companies in Latin America, as Petrobras in Brazil, Pemex in Mexico and Codelco in Chile.

According to El Mercurio, the IMF representative assured that these companies are showing a deterioration in comparison with firms of private character.

The main concern of the monetary organizacion is, if public companies have debts, and know if would be assumed by the State or, if will be propel a process for the privatization of assets.

Likewise, Werner highlighted the capacity of Chile of making a slow-paced fiscal adjustment.
