Chile is going to promise, on the coming United nation conference on climate change, the decrease of the 30% of the emissions that are causing the global warming.

Chile is part of the Independent Association of Latin America and the Caribbean (Ailac), which pursue, with other nations like Panama, Colombia, Costa Rica, Paraguay and Peru, the generation of united policies to face the climate change.

In this frame, the Government has promised to decrease the 30% of the emissions that are causing the greenhouse effect, during the next 15 years.

Regarding to this, the Environment Minister, Pablo Badenier, said that the ministry will drive the generation of projects in order to modify the current energy matrix of the country and in addition, it will implement the reforestation of the native plant life along 200.000 hectares in the south.
