No hay ninguna celebridad de talla mundial que no tenga un o una fanática que lo dé todo por parecerse a ella. Y en el caso de Jennifer Lopez, de seguro debe haber varias que lo intentan a diario.

Una de ellas, y quizá la más profesional de todas, es Connie Peña, una joven con ascendencia mexicana y peruana que se ha convertido en una de las imitadoras de JLo más idénticas de todos los tiempos.

Algo de eso quedó demostrado cuando la joven asistió al Xcel Energy Center, lugar donde la original Lopez compartió con algunos asistente a sus conciertos. “¿Nos parecemos?“, habría sido lo primero que dijo JLo al ver a su doble. Peña sonrió y respondió: “Parece que algo“.

I finally got the opportunity to meet the Ms Jennifer Lopez, the LEGEND, My ICON, and the woman that has motivated me and impacted my life in so many ways! This day changed my life. Fue Connie la que compartió una postal que quedará para el recuerdo. En esa misma instancia, la imitadora pudo hablar unos minutos con su ídola, y en el programa matutino Un nuevo día, lo reveló: “Pude decirle cuánto la admiro y cuánto he trabajado para lograr parecerme a ella. Le conté que se me ha hecho muy difícil aprenderme las coreografías, porque en ese sentido no soy tan diestra“, explicó.

Lamentablemente todo sucedió tan rápido que se le quedaron varias cosas en el tintero, dijo ella, aunque al menos pudo agradecerle por ser una inspiración y sorprenderla al revelarle que tiene pensado rendirle un tributo.

Connie aseguró también que Lopez quedó “muy impresionada” por su parecido y hasta celebró sus curvas. Además, le agradeció por apoyarla y por querer rendir homenajes a su carrera.

El parecido llega a tal, según Peña, que en la calle suelen confundirla con la verdadera Jennifer, e incluso dijo que una vez durante un show de Marc Anthony en Las Vegas, éste la saludo como si fuera su exesposa.

Today was an emotional day for me which was full of many surprises. The day started with a live performance on @despiertamerica (which is an internationally televised program on Univision). This performance was such an amazing opportunity to show a bit of the @Jlo Tribute Show in the making, that I’m putting together for her fans. It was a dream come true being on stage with my choreographers and dancers. We’ve put in a lot of hard work and dedication. We are trying to do the best that we can with lots of love and respect to honor our queen, Jennifer López.
