The Bolivian president, Evo Morales, announced the taken of “actions”, before the submission of the Chilean counter-memorial, the response to the maritime claim, submitted by Bolivia before the International Court of Justice at The Hague.

“Our Doctor Eduardo Rodriguez, who is our agent before the ICJ, has surprised me. He is tirelessly working on some proposals, we are not going to reveal now, because are going to be disclosed before the presentation of the Chilean counter-memorial”, stated the altiplanic president, according to La Razón.

Morales limited itself to say that the actions are related to “new recomendations, new suggestions to take technical and juridical decisions, and also, to take political decisions, is what we have as president, and as the government”.

The Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to the statements of Morales and announced a special meeting between the minister Edgardo Riveros and the member of the Commission of Foreign Affairs, deputy Jorge Tarud, to analize these statements.
