The government of Los Andes announced the closing of the border crossing of Los Libertadores due to the strong raining at the Argentinian side.

The measure was taken in coordination with the Argentinian authority, who warned from the danger of circulate between the localities of Polvaderas and Punta de Vaca because of the rockslides.

The governor of Los Andes province, María Victoria Rodríguez, announced that if the Argentinian route is cleaned, the border crossing could be reopened during this Sunday.

The Governor discarded to 24 Horas the posibility of rockslides at Chilean territory in the short term, and highlighted that when the border crossing was closed, the flow of cars had already decreased.
