On Tuesday, Jorge Bermúdez expounded before the Constitution Commission of the Senate, awaiting the votation in order to be confirmed in the charge of General Comptroller of the Republic.

After being nominated by the president Michelle Bachelet, the lawyer Jorge Bermúdez, moved to the Congress in Valparaiso to show his vision about the labor of the Comptrollership, position that he would exert for 8 years.

The charge has been remained vacant for more than 200 days, after the failed nomination of Enrique Rajevic in September.

The purpose of the Government is counting with the new Comptroller no later than this Wednesday, and it’s totally possible because the name of Bermúdez has been well accepted inside the governing party and also inside the opposition.
