The film of Pablo Larraín, has been crowned as the winner of four of the eight nominations at the Fénix Awards, celebrated in Mexico.

The film won at the categories of best feature film, best director, best script, and best actor in a leading rol, which was performed by the talented Alfredo Castro.

It was the second edition of this awards, who anually recognised the best of the Latin America, Spain and Portugal cinema.

The “El Club” film, narrates the story about a group of catholic priests, who after perpetrated many crimes are sent to a retirement house in a distant town.

The Chilean director was absent of the award ceremony due to he was filming in Paris.
