Rapist of two British tourists in Chile was sentenced to 18 years of prison

The Penal Tribunal of Villarica, has sentenced a man guilty of raping two British tourists at the southern city of Pucón, in October of 2014, to 18 years of imprisonment.

This way, Jaime Ibáñez Gutiérrez, was declared guilty of the charges of violation and robbery by intimidation. The hearing was attended by the victims via streaming, from the Chilean embassy in London.

The Public Ministry prosecutor, Jorge Calderara, assured to be satisfied for the verdict of the tribunal, especially because this result means a lot for the two victims.

The sentence of the Tribunal is irrevocable.
