The National Statistics Institute (INE) published the consumer price index (CPI) belonging to March 2016. The rate had a variation of 0.4 percentage points, when compared to the same time period during 2015.

In the same line and according to the information provided, the inflation rate grew a 1.1% on the first trimester of 2016, increasing to 4.5% in the latest 12 months.

On the other hand, Education achieved the greatest positive variation due to an upward of 4.7%, in contrast, Transportation decreased 1.3%.

As for specific products, the Highest Education service raised its prices a 4.9% in March, while gas prices declined 2.6% during the same month.
