The Senate has approved the anti delinquency agenda, that among its measures includes the preventive identity control.

The motion was approved by 20 votes in favor and now will pass to the third legislative processing.

The project, specially the issues related to the preventive identity control, have been harshly criticized by different national and international organism, like UN, the Chilean Institute of Human rights, and even, by the Supreme Court of Justice.

Regarding to the votation, the main detractors were the members of the Socialist party, who voted all together in opposition to the project.

On his behalf, from the opposition, the UDI senator Juan Antonio Coloma, assured that the project is neccessary.
