The minister of Foreign Affairs, Heraldo Muñoz, informed that the president Michelle Bachelet designated to Fernando Danús as the new ambassador in South Korea.

Danús is a lawyer of the University of Chile and graduated from the Diplomatic Academy in 1977. In addition he studied International Law and International Affairs at the Program of External Service of the Oxford University.

He accomplished functions at the Chilean Embassies in United Kingdom, New Zeland, Singapur, Malaysia and Indonesia, as well as on the permanent mission at the United Nations.

Also he was ambassador of Chile in Singapore and attendee ambassador at Myanmar.
