The ANAR Foundation launched in Chile “Línea Libre”, a channel of free and confidential help which will allow to children and teenagers to express themselves freely and also request the help of a psychologist. This, before any trouble which could be affecting them. It has two options: through phone or by internet. It’s 100% cost-free and confidential.

This initiative offer a communication channel to all the Chilean children. A “place” where they are not going to be judged, where they will be able to talk about their problems, no matter what the problem may be, in order to be listened and get orientation.

“The studies about childhood in Chile, make evident this lack of communication and assistance among our children and we want to give a solution through this program”, María Eugenia Hirmas, president of ANAR Foundation, explained.

This means of help, counts with a team of psychologists skilled on subjects of childhood and adolescence. They are who are answering the calls, are listening and giving advice, and if the problem requires an special treatment , the social network nearby to the child will be activated, but, under a previous consent, in order to protect the child.

The Sename’s director, Marcela Labraña praised this initiative and said that “a society who listen to their Children can be turn into a better society. So, that´s why we are supporting and betting strongly to the children participation. All of us are responsible at the construction of a country where children and adolescents would be recognized as subjects of rights , who have their-own voice that should be heard”
