Petition for the delivery of Karadima´s record by the Vatican was approved

The Supreme Court approved the exhort of solicitation to the Vatican of the investigation records about Karadima´s crimes. Its important to mention that Fernando Karadima was condemned by the canon law due to sexual assault and abuse of power.

The criminal record was request by the Archbishopric of Santiago, in the frame of the civil process in course due to the sue of $450 million pesos lodged by James Hamilton, José Murillo and Juan Carlos Cruz, victims of Karadima.

The exhort asks for an entire and reliable copy of the denounces and declarations given by the victims, besides the reports provided by the justice promoters of the Santiago´s Archbishopric and the records gathered between 2009 and 2010.

The document will be sent to the Vatican through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, procedure that has been approved by the Supreme Court.
