Tonight Chile won its second match in the qualifiers to the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia. “La Roja” did it again and beats the Peruvian National Team with a 4-3 win over 10-man Peru in a heart-stopping game.

For the first half hour of the match striker Alexis Sánchez scored the first goal with a short-range shot in the 7th minute, opening the account. Then, Jefferson Farfán scored for Peru, equalizing conditions on the field. It became quickly apparent that the strategies of both teams were working, but on the 23rd minute Peru was left with ten players after Cueva was expulsed.

The game seems to be inclined to the Peruvian side, due to the referee, who punished a fault against Peru with a penalty, which was scored successfully by Farfán. But the Chileans overcame their nerves with Vargas and Sánchez scoring again. The first half hour has finished.

Vargas scored at the beginning of the second half which was less eventful than the first, and chances became increasingly harder to come by for both teams.

Paolo Guerrero discounted for Peru on the second extra minute. But Chile crowned itself as the big winner, demonstrating why it is the current champion of America
