Despite of the peaceful character and the familiar environment in which the march for the Native Chileans was developed this Monday, a group of hooded individuals stayed at the end of the march, begun a confrontation with the Police, close to La Moneda.

Because of this, the uniformed police reacted with water and tear gas launcher trucks against the delinquents who were tossing diverse blunt objects to the forces of order.

The march started close to 11.30 am at Plaza Italia, and it was convened by indigenous organizations and headed by leaders of the Mapuche communities.

The demilitarization of the Araucania and the request of freedom to the political prisoners were the main demands of this organizations.
