10 days on strike and the conflict between the “Registro Civil” employees and the Government has been toughened.

The situation is despairing for the users who must arrive early to the offices in order to achieve a number for being assisted.

Slowness, lack of offices and scant of agility are the common denounces of who need to apply for passports and other essential documents.

Even though the employees on strike lamented the problems caused to the users, they indicated the authorities as the responsible of the situation for maintaining on suspension the negotiation table. Thus, Nelly Díaz, president of the Registro Civil association, confirmed the strike extension.
