After a new lawsuit by the Tax office (SII) against representatives of Soquimich linking more taxpayers in issuing fees receipts considered suspicious, senator of the Independent Democratic Union party (UDI) Victor Perez said we are facing a more serious political picture.
The congressman called those involved in this case to clarify their participation as soon as possible, through the prosecutor’s office and court.
Perez referred to the alleged irregular funding that would have earned the former candidate for representative, Cristobal Urruticoechea Rios, who despite attempts from Radio Bio Bio to communicate with him, has not made a statement on the matter yet.
Given this scenario, the senator expects that a transparent, regulated and accountable mechanism may debut next year in the municipal elections, as he considers it would be the only way to restore the credibility in the politics within the citizenry.
Victor Perez participates in a Senate probity committee looking for strict funding control mechanisms for political campaigns. He expects initial conclusions by mid-2015.
